“The $1.3T student loan market today is already as large as the sub-prime mortgage market was at its peak in 2007, with eerily similar delinquency and default rates. At Nautilus Investment Research, we believe that this situation already qualifies as a financial crisis, with significant negative ramifications for a struggling US economy already suffocated by excess debt and deflationary pressures from every angle. We need proactive solutions now as opposed to the typical reactionary measures after it’s too late.”
